Knucklehead ZooTM (KHZ) has been reppin’ Sin City/ Las Vegas and the USA for nearly a decade. Hailing from the entertainment capital of the world, this is where our professionalism and creativity has flourished. The Zoo has been traveling the country and the world doing shows and battles in such country’s as Qatar, Hong Kong, Germany, Holland, France, and Japan.
In just a short span of time, not only has KHZ managed to capture some impressive competitive titles, but they have also compiled a number of significant credentials to add to their expanding resume, including appearances at NBA, MLB, AFL and NCAA halftime shows, as well as TV appearances on MTV,TLC, CBS, FOX, WB and VH1.
The crew is regularly contracted to perform at private & corporate functions, tradeshows and special events. Some corporate clients include SAMSUNG, BLAUPUNKT, SONY, DOOSAN and PRIMEDIA. Additionally, several group members presently perform in various Las Vegas venues such as The Jabbawockeez Show located inside the Monte Carlo Casino Resort
The crew starred in the documentary film entitled Planet B-Boy, directed by award winning filmmaker Benson Lee (Miss Monday & Black Picket Fence). The film chronicles the journey of five B-Boy crews from around the world, KHZ representing the USA, to the International Battle of the Year competition held in Germany. The film made its debut at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival, was released nationwide for limited engagement in 2008 and is slated for telecast on MTV in 2009.
In 2008 KHZ debuted their first full stage production at The New Victory Theater, located in the heart of Times Square in New York City. The show, Rewind TM, represents the first time in history that a U.S. B-Boy crew has headlined in their own theatrical stage show.
Knucklehead Zoo’s mission is to lead the way for the re-emergence of B-Boy entertainment into the mainstream. With respect to break dancing’s past and an eager eye on its future, KHZ strives to conquer unexplored “territories” and blaze new trails for the B-Boys of tomorrow.
